Getting the Perfect Slice

Does fixing a slice mean having a pizza in the world of club? Not really. In golf, this one of the many challenges golfers has to overcome in their games. It is a great dilemma among golfers how to make the right curves. To get the best slice in golf, it is essential to come up with spin-axis of the golf ball in either direction.

To fix slices fast and easy, get to know first the factors that causes golf slices. There are three major factors related to this idea. The first reason for golf slice is the opening at impact point on the face of the golf club which sends the ball into a clockwise spin. Another reason for slice is the swing speed of the player. A golf swing path of outside-inside can lead to a golf slice. To prevent this from happening, hit the ball on the marked line.

Golf slices differ for left handed and right-handed golfers. When playing, the left-handed golfer makes the golf ball spin clockwise while the right-handed golfer make the slice take place in counterclockwise motion. As you can see, it is significant to check the hand usage of the golfer to fix the slice. The difficult thing for trainee is that golf swings happen so fast that errors become unnoticeable.

For a quick fix, ensure that the grip on the golf club is slightly diverted on whichever hand the golfer uses. Turn it more on the right if the player is right-handed and to the left if the player is left-handed. Check your stance and aim regularly; don’t go too much on either side. Avoid also bending too much and place golf club steadily on the ground. It is just a matter of practice so achieve the right skills and eventually fix a slice.

Golf Downswing: What is it all About?

Golf downswing is an integral part in improving your career in this precision club-and-ball sport. This is a proof on whether you already achieved the perfect golf swing or faulty swing which can lead to slicing the ball.

A glimpse on the finish line can end up successful or can be ruined by a single shot. There is nothing more disappointing than having the best grips, stances, swings and stances but to slip up with the downswing. It is a frustrating experience indeed but there is still hope. All you need to do is recognize the errors which ruined your game.

Some of the things which affect the downswing move are the improper spinning of the hips and failing to gradually move the body weight; the turning of the right shoulder to a higher level near the ball and moving the club head or moving the hands while doing the downswing.

Remember that these errors can lead you to hit the ball sooner than planned. Hitting the ball earlier than expected can result to a shorter distance covered. Another thing that will likely to happen is that you hot from the outside in. This action will direct your ball to the wrong direction. In golf, going to the wrong direction simply means slicing the ball.

Golf downswing is definitely a setback among golfers and must be avoided early on. The best solution for this is to move the hips to the left and keeping the head back while putting a firm grip on the golf club. It is the movement of the lateral hip that carries some of the body weight and makes the shoulder rock slightly. Keep in mind to put the head back to prevent the body in following the hips. Additionally, it will cushion the tension caused by the backswing.
