Get Ernie Els’ Golf Swing

In the sports of golf, one of the well known and admired by many is Ernest ‘Ernie’ Els, a professional golfer. And he’s famous for his swings. Els’ height is over six feet, a big man indeed but he sure can deliver effortless swings. Effortless and graceful swings are the product of his tremendous and long time practice.

If you are an Ernie Els’ fan, you can also acquire the same swing given some tips. First thing to remember is there should be no tension in your arms. A soft forearm results to a swing smooth enough making the flight of the ball controllable.

A wider stance can help you if ever you need the ball to fly in a farther range. If you’ll be using backswing, a raised chin and enough space for the shoulder is the proper posture. Try to find the rhythm of the swing, also avoid the feeling of you wanting to hit the ball.

A straight arm while swinging is also a good posture. With this, the club is kept parallel when doing a back swing. This what Ernie El’s do. By this posture a correct alignment of shoulder, arm and club head is attained resulting to a smooth swing. When doing downward swings, El’s uses his hips to achieve proper body rotation for a better follow through of his shoulders and arms.

Weather conditions should not affect you during the game. Avoid hitting harder if the wind is strong; you just have to make allowances. Your patience must always be present.

There is not doubt that Ernie Els is one of world’s best players whose swing is unique and cannot be copied. Yes you can never be Ernie Els, but you can also make a name for yourself as a golfer.  Developing your own swing is possible through constant practice.
