Games Begin with the Disc Golf Rules
Disc golf game is all about gaining momentum, especially to those who seek purely recreational pursuit. The game’s objective is to throw the disc and to acquire a low score as possible to win. A score is given every time you get a penalty, so you must avoid it. The rules of the disc golf game are not that complicated at all. One can easily learn everything and understand it and in no time, he or she will be enjoying the game itself.
Rule 1 – tee throws
There is a space allotted where players are allowed to throw the disc. The disc must not exceed tee, the term used for the allotted space. If no other players are insight after the throw, it might result to a penalty.
Rule 2 – Lie
You are to mark the spot where the disc landed. You can use a mini-disc as a marker or just turn the thrown disc upside down. The marker should be positioned to face the dog leg, also called the hole.
Rule 3 – order of throwing
After the players’ first throw, the one with the farthest disc will be the first one to throw the disc again. As for the next hole, the player with the least throw to the hole it precedes will be the one throw first.
Rule 4 – fairway throws
For the fairway throw, player’s foot must be near the hole in lie area. The other foot, follow-throughs and run-ups after the release are exempted.
Rule 5 – dog leg
For the golf players, tress or poles serves as marker, dog legs are the arrow indicated. Passing of dog legs also follows the fairway throws’ rules.
Rule 6 – Penalties.
Honesty must be observed by all the players to avoid penalties as stated in the rules of the game.
